Parks a community asset
Parks are such vital community assets. This is a topic close to my heart, as my very first job was doing maintenance at a state park. That experience gave me firsthand insight into the value these spaces provide to the public and the hard work required to maintain them.
NORTHLAKE PARKS COMMUNITY PARK, SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA
Electrical Engineer of Record for the new 14-acre community park within the Northlake Parks residential development in Sacramento, California.
The project scope for this development included:
- Coordination and design of the new electrical service
- Electrical systems for a new modular restroom building
- Design of parking lot and site security lighting
- Electrical circuiting for the new irrigation controller
- Power distribution for shade shelter convenience receptacles
FRUITRIDGE COMMUNITY PARK, SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA
Electrical Engineer of Record for the renovation of an existing 9.5-acre community park and the 1.5-acre expansion onto a neighboring property.
The scope of the electrical design included:
- Upgrades to the site electrical service
- New lighting for basketball and tennis courts
- Parking lot and site security lighting
- Lighting for picnic gazebos and monument signs
- Provisions for future sports lighting
- Power distribution for convenience outlets and irrigation pumps
SOUTH GATE PARKS, SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA
Project Engineer for two neighborhood parks within the Southgate Recreation and Park District in Sacramento, California.
The first project involved a 4.8-acre park featuring a soccer field, youth baseball field, half basketball court, playground, picnic shelter, and drinking fountain. The second project was a 1.5-acre park that included a picnic shelter, playground, and drinking fountain.
Scope of work for these projects included:
- Design of electrical power service and distribution.
- Lighting design for the picnic shelters.
- Provision of construction support services.
DEGARMO COMMUNITY PARK, CHICO, CALIFORNIA
Project Engineer for development of the Phase 2 improvements for this 9.3 acre park,
including soccer and softball fields, playground, picnic shelter, provisions for outdoor
concerts, lighted parking lot and pedestrian walkways. The project included design of new
electrical service including provisions for a future 71,000 square foot Community Building.
